Pip unfortunately has decided to leave our practice to open her own solo Nurse Practitioner Clinic. She is planning to start on May 12 2025 at one of the clinical suites in the Beyond Radiology centre next to the Hibiscus Bus Station.

I have managed to import the first batch of Rybelsus under Section 25, which is the oral form of Ozempic. This is not available in New Zealand and is much more effective than Saxenda / Victoza at about 60% of the price.

I am planning to hold a Q&A session for all those who are interested on one of the Saturdays at our clinic. To help us to plan this, I would appreciate if you could contact Matt (Matthew.Guy@hillviewmedical.co.nz) to express your interest and let us know which Saturday would be best (17th, 24th or 31st May). We will try to have it between 11-12 in the morning, so that you can go for lunch / gelato afterwards.

Since Pip did not give us any notice of her departure, I have been left with the care for both my patients and hers. This has caused my clinic queue to blow out to five days initially from its usual 24 hour wait.

Over the past 3 weeks, I have been working long hours, and most nights until 2-3 am to clear the paperwork, and the wait time has come down to 3 days. It will take another 3 weeks to bring it back down to the targeted 24 hour wait, and in the meantime, I am only taking in new enrolments for patients who moved into the area recently and do not have a local GP.

I will be stopping my Saturday morning clinic as I can’t physically manage such long hours, and will be re-opening this when our next GP comes sometime hopefully in June or July.
